This is my new blog, Family Gal. The name is a take-off on the TV show, Family Guy, the animated series about an incredibly dysfunctional family. The mother in the show bears the same first name as me: Lois. This blog's intent is to provide parenting advice and insights into family life.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia and have a private therapy practice in Snellville, GA, where I do a mix of individual, family, and couples therapy, providing psychotherapy services to people of all ages, cultures, ethnicities, and socio-economic groups.

I am passionate about helping families to function as well as possible and helping individuals become the best person they can be, fulfilled and challenged by a meaningful life.
